In Europe's heart, a quandary shows,
Its sovereign nations now locked in throes,
Paralyzed, conflicted, their unity sown,
In the shadow of discord, seeds of dissent have grown.

In lands dried barren, where food grows scant,
In parks of nature, an entity gaunt,
Elephants lay slain, to feed the meek,
A testament to drought, pressing and bleak.

At Nahal Oz the maidens stand,
Gramarye ignored in this forsaken land,
Their warning cries of Hamas fell on deaf ears,
Now symbol of failure, etched in tears.
